Lots and lots of pictures!

Let's see...Thanksgiving was fun. It was nice to be able to spend so much time with family. Since then we have been doing the normal December kind of things. Sending out Christmas cards, baking, going to parties and productions. Very busy! But I love the Christmas season and am enjoying each day.

Tyler now has two molars in and I just noticed today two bottom teeth are coming in as well. As you can imagine he has been quite moody lately but I'm relieved to know it's because of the teeth and not just a new personality. =) In just over a week we will be driving to Indiana to spend Christmas there. I'm looking forward to relaxing a bit but not looking forward to the drive!

Here is Lisle as our Bathtub Lifeguard. Ready to spring into action if needed.

"What's all that white stuff?"

I guess he thought Mr. Bear looked a little hungry

All bundled up and ready to go

This is where is stood like a statue for about 5 minutes and then burst into tears. That was it for playing in the snow.

Halloween

I thought I should probably post Halloween pictures before Thanksgiving rolls around. We didn't actually go anywhere for Halloween so I just took pictures of him in his costume outside. He didn't seem to mind the costume. He has started waving and clapping, although he refuses to do it when asked. He tends to wave at the cats mostly. He and I have both been sick for the last couple of weeks but he seems to be doing much better. Wish I could say the same! This weekend Tyler and Dan will have a day of bonding while I get a day of shopping with a friend. I'm excited!

He decided to climb in with his clean laundry

Some videos....here he is clapping

Requested by my mom, a video of him walking. Sorry it's sideways, I could not figure out how to rotate it!

Apple and pumpkin picking time!

It almost seems wrong to go pumpkin picking in Minnesota during October and be so hot that you're sweating. Just doesn't seem very fall. Of course now it feels like fall with a 20 degree drop in temperature overnight. Bring out the jackets and gloves! We had a fun time this past weekend hanging out with the family. I had a great time at the Hearts at Home conference with Marisa. I'm looking forward to going again next year!

Our big news is that Tyler starting walking! It was Tuesday evening when he decided to stand up and just start going. It was crazy! He's done it a couple times since then but not as many steps as that one time. Pretty soon he'll be running all over the house! It's a mixed blessing for sure.

And onto pictures!

Tyler really loved this couch at his cousins (good thing it's going on his Christmas list!)

Ariana was very insistant that we get a picture with her and Tyler

Aunt Megan with Owen
Tyler was pretty bored with petting zoo at the pumpkin patch
The rabbits put a smile on his face though (or maybe it was watching his cousins chase them around)

David and Marisa with Owen, Brandon, Evan, and Ariana

"What are these funny looking things?"

"Maybe Evan knows what they are."

"I don't know what it is so I'll just put it in my mouth."

Tyler's got rhythm

Not too much happening here. Dan and I went out on a date last night. We went out to dinner and then to see a 22 year old jazz singer, Rachel Price. She had a very rich voice and it was nice and relaxing being out! Some friends of ours watched Tyler for us, in exchange for us watching their son while they go out for their anniversary next month. Works for us! Next weekend we are heading up to Minnesota and will see the family. I'm sure I'll have some pictures from that trip. Now a couple pics, and a video!

Got together with some friends last weekend. All the husbands watched football while the wives sat around and chatted. Tyler is really into sucking his thumb now.

Vacation and birthday party pics!

Last week I went to create a post with pictures from our trip to Indiana. I created the whole thing and uploaded it to find out I uploaded it to our bible study blog instead of this one. It wouldn't let me copy and paste so I lost the whole thing. *sob* I boycotted Blogger for a week (even though it was my fault) and now I'm back to create a very large post with lots of pictures!

His birthday party went really well. We had absolutely beautiful weather so we put all the tables out on the deck (it holds more people than our house anyway). The kids ran around and played while Dan helped Tyler open gifts and then we dived into the cakes. If you don't know the background on the train cake, here it is: The train cake Tyler had was baked in the exact same cake pan that Dan's mom baked Dan's train cake for his first birthday! You will see a picture of Dan's birthday to see what I'm talking about. Anyway, once Tyler started eating the cake he seemed to enjoy it. He really didn't get too messy. It was a good party and Tyler is enjoying playing with all his gifts!

First, the trip to Indiana!

"I'll just take a little taste"

"Hey! It's not too bad!"
